Guest Speaker
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone
The youngest U.S. Olympian to compete in track and field since 1972, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone set a junior world record in the 400m hurdles at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She also won the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships in the 400m hurdles, and is the current NCAA record-holder in the 400m hurdles. She broke her own World Record in the women's 400-meter hurdles to win the gold in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Named the Gatorade National Girls Athlete of the Year, two years in a row, McLaughlin gave a moving—and headline-making—speech about how she overcame obstacles to become one of the top young track and field athletes in America. Having left the University of Kentucky to pursue a professional career, McLaughlin-Levrone is also a face of New Balance.
Known for one of her personal mottos, "the only limit is myself," McLaughlin-Levrone offers empowering and inspiring remarks on overcoming every obstacle, perseverance, learning and evolving from your mistakes, staying open to new experiences, and the pursuit of success.

San Diego has wonderful weather year-round. Early March is typically very comfortable with daytime highs between low 50s and mid 70s, perfect for spending time outdoors. It can be cooler after the sun goes down, so you may wish to bring a sweater or jacket. Attire throughout the weekend will be resort casual with the evenings a little dressier.
We have designed this weekend to feed you physically, emotionally and
spiritually. It is our request that you spend this weekend focused on the special
event we have designed for you.
